Crafting

T
Crafts.
How did I ever get started making crafts.
Something to steady my nerves I believe.  Maybe it was something that I wanted to do to keep my children busy.
Not really sure of when it started  but I can remember what the first craft project I did .  That was making a simple quilt.  Why a quilt? My friend was
throwing away a lot of scrap materials, some already fashioned into simple 9 inch blocks.

I could watch tv in the evening and quilt. It was very time consuming but it helped me to focus on creating something that others considered old  fashioned.

Then I started attending auctions, yard sales.  Finding lots of things that no one wanted.  Broken necklaces, fabric, bits of this and that.
Then I started collecting, oddities, brass fittings.  I had no idea what I was going to do with all of these oddities.
My biggest adventure for oddity finds was in the woods.  Pieces of driftwood, moss,  dried out weeds, or flowers, nut hulls.
Then I started collecting and digging plants up in the woods.  No clue to why  I was collecting. However, they looked interesting..  The followind 2 pictures are part of my wanderings. As I find my pictures on my comp of the crafts almost or completed ones I will post.
I will also show you some of my beading projects.  Christmas ornaments and more.  So be patient with me..I have never done a blog before. (which means each page I make is subject to change.)   So if you see something interesting and I have deleted it just ask because I am always full of information.

The driftwood is incorporated into the plant and i twist and manipulate the plants to fit the driftwood.
The top picture  is my fairy garden.  It also is subject to change and this year has grown by leaps and bounds.
